Round Rock schools get new security system
Thursday, August 10, 2006, KVUE News

Students returning to class in Round Rock next week will notice extra security.

The district is introducing a new security system called "Raptor V-Soft", and it's similar to one already used in the Eanes School District.

It requires visitors to provide a driver's license before entering the school.

The license is then scanned and compared with a database of sex offenders.

It then prints a photo ID visitors pass.

A federal grant is paying for the new system.

If you do not see the V•soft logo at the top of your screen, click [ here ] to return to the main page.
