It's called V-Soft. After visitors scan their driver's licenses, it checks their names against the sex offender registry in 48 states. The district Is hoping it will find any sex offenders trying to enter a school, even parents. Special consideration will be given to parents, allowed by law to see their kids. V-Soft is in seven Eagle Mountain-Saginaw schools right now. The district hopes to have the software in all of its schools by the end of the year. The Eagle Mountain-Saginaw School District is in northwest Tarrant County. It includes Blue Mound and parts of northwest Fort Worth. The district has 9500 students in 15 campuses, and the district has grown by 11% in the last year. |
